Qualdoc in York, PA is seeking a CNC Structural Steel Machine Operator for 2nd shift on a contract-to-hire basis. You will operate CNC coping and cutting equipment to process beams, columns, and channels, with setup, material handling and quality checks.

Starting pay is $22.00/hour, with a $3.00/hour 2nd shift differential and higher pay based on experience. You'll work with overhead cranes and forklifts and must read blueprints.

Qualifikationen

• At least 2 years of CNC machine operation experience.
• CNC coping machine or beam line experience strongly preferred.
• Structural steel fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with machine setup, tooling changes, and basic CNC troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
• Experience working around overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate CNC coping and cutting machines.
• Read and interpret structural steel shop drawings, blueprints, and dimensions.
• Load and unload steel materials using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform programmed coping, cutting, drilling, and other machining operations.
• Inspect completed parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
• Change tooling, make basic machine adjustments, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
