Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Structural Steel Project Manager to join our growing team in the Midwest. This permanent role focuses on managing large-scale steel fabrication projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules and quality standards.

The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with clients, engineers and field staff, and drive project delivery while navigating contractual and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of proven project management experience in construction, preferably steel fabrication.
• Strong understanding of PM principles, cost control, scheduling, and contract management.
• Experience with budgeting and decision-making.
• Knowledge of safety codes and regulations.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management.
• Leading planning sessions and managing project resources.
• Coordinating staff and ensuring documentation is maintained for each project.
• Assessing project risks and issues and providing solutions.
• Ensuring deadlines are met and managing changes.
• Providing regular updates to stakeholders about strategy and progress.
• Managing large and diverse teams, fostering collaboration for smooth execution.
• Developing and managing detailed project budgets and controlling expenditures.
• Implementing and managing change to meet project outputs.
