Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Project Engineer to manage, design, and detail building structures both independently and as part of a larger team. You will act as a liaison between design professionals and the Principals, selecting structural systems and performing analyses to develop construction drawings and specifications.

The role requires a Master of Science in Structural Engineering, 4+ years in building design, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in Structural Engineering
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the design of building structures
• Engineering design skills in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
• Familiar with design codes
• Professional Engineer Registration as a must-have

Responsibilities

• Manage, design, and detail building structures independently or as part of a team
• Liaise between design professionals and the Principals
• Select structural systems and conceptual framing
• Perform analysis and design calculations
• Develop construction drawings and specifications
• Self-perform drafting and written texts, review shop drawings, and review contractor’s work during construction
