Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Estimator in Jacksonville, FL. This role leads estimates with limited supervision for steel fabrication and erection projects, coordinating with preconstruction, detailing, fabrication, and field teams to ensure complete scope coverage and competitive pricing.

You will review drawings and bid documents, identify risks, and develop cost estimates for materials, fabrication, erection, and crane requirements, partnering across

Qualifications

• BS in civil engineering, construction management, or related field with 2–4 years of experience, or 7 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and MS Office; Fabtrol or Tekla EPM preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications; knowledge of AISC/AWS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates with limited supervision on small to mid-sized projects.
• Review structural and architectural drawings and bid documents for steel scope coverage.
• Coordinate RFIs with internal teams, engineers, and clients when information is missing.
• Develop estimates including material costs, fabrication and erection labor, and crane requirements.
• Prepare scope clarifications, exclusions, and assumptions; lead estimate reviews.
