Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Estimating Manager to lead the estimating team for a growing steel fabrication and erection company in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role focuses on providing accurate, competitive estimates for a range of commercial projects, from small to large miscellaneous metal work, with emphasis on cost control and budgeting.

The ideal candidate will oversee a team, generate reports on bid progress and budget performance, manage change orders, and assist with design as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural steel construction estimating.
• Proficiency with Tekla, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction, market trends, material costs, and labor rates.
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, compliance, and quality assurance.
• Experience in change orders management and design assistance.

Responsibilities

• Input costs for proposals and perform detailed estimates from drawings for various projects.
• Oversee cost control, budgeting, compliance and QA for all assigned projects.
• Generate detailed reports and presentations on bid progress, success rates, and budget performance.
