Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer (SRM - Structural Analyst) to lead structural design and analysis for Solid Rocket Motors. Role may be performed remotely or onsite at Huntsville, AL, Niceville, FL, or Hampton, AR locations, with up to 25% travel.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in structural modeling, analysis, and documentation of motor cases, nozzles, insulation systems, and primary structures, supporting the SRM

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience.
• Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test equipment.
• Guides the interpretation of blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Collaborates with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
