Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer (SRM - Design) with solid rocket motor experience. The role focuses on mechanical design integration, creating CAD models, drawings and specs for motor cases, nozzles and insulation systems.

Remote option available, with on-site offices in Huntsville, AL; Niceville, FL; Hampton, AR. The successful candidate will collaborate across propulsion and structural teams, lead design reviews, and support the full product

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 5-7 years in engineering.
• Engineering degree required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools and machinery.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and reports.
• Collaborates with engineers to implement procedures and resolve malfunctions.
• Evaluates design feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements from data and proposals.
• Maintains configuration control and provides technical support to manufacturing.
