Job summary

Tew & Taylor is seeking a qualified Threshold (Special) Inspector to conduct inspections across Florida. This position involves preparing and sealing structural inspection plans, conducting field inspections, and ensuring compliance with the Florida Building Code.

Offering a competitive salary ranging from $135,000 to $160,000, the role can be full-time or contracted. Ideal candidates will possess an active Florida PE license and experience in structural field inspections.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Professional Engineer license in good standing.
• Three years of verifiable structural field inspection experience.
• Knowledge of Florida Building Code and threshold inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and sealing structural inspection plans.
• Performing field inspections on threshold buildings.
• Coordinating with plans examiners and building officials.
• Documenting findings through inspection reporting workflow.

Skills

Active Florida Professional Engineer license
