Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Structures & Dynamics Analyst to support solid rocket motor components at the Huntsville, AL or Sacramento, CA locations.

You will lead structural modeling, perform analyses, and work across teams to ensure mission-critical propulsion hardware meets performance and safety requirements. You will guide design reviews, develop load cases, and contribute to documentation and process improvements while traveling up to 10% and pursuing a US security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior structural analysis experience.
• Graduate Degree with 7+ years preferred; or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Drive analysis tasks for SRM components with focus on nozzles and motor cases.
• Build and execute finite element models using ANSYS or ABAQUS.
• Collaborate with thermal, CFD, and performance teams to develop load conditions.
• Apply classical methods to validate numerical results for preliminary design trades.
• Import and simplify CAD models for analysis readiness.
• Evaluate margins of safety against yield, buckling, and fatigue.
• Prepare technical reports, notes, and presentation materials.
