Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Specialist, Structures Engineer to support missile defense and RS-25 propulsion programs from Canoga Park, CA.

You will conduct component structural analyses for flight, test, and fabrication, and report findings in program reviews. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience or a graduate degree with 4+ years; security clearance or ability to obtain a US Secret level clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related structural engineering experience, or Graduate degree with 4+ years, or 10+ years without a degree.
• Experience with missile defense structures and/or RS-25 rocket engine programs is preferred.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain a US Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design guidance and perform detailed structural analyses for missile defense and RS-25 programs.
• Assess product to meet internal structural requirements and customer specifications.
• Report analysis status and results at design/program reviews with detailed documentation.
• Prepare technical reports and present results at reviews and program milestones.
• Contribute to team performance and dispositioning of production NCRs.
