Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Senior Structures Engineer to support the RS-25 rocket engine program at the Canoga Park facility in California. The role focuses on component structural analysis for flight, test and fabrication, with emphasis on NCR dispositioning and technical reporting.

The engineer will provide design guidance, present findings at reviews, and contribute to program performance while pursuing compliance with security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Structures, or Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree in Mechanical, Structures, or Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design guidance, scope analysis efforts and perform detailed structural analyses for RS-25 component NCRs.
• Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews; prepare technical reports documenting all analysis activities.
• Apply technical expertise to contribute to the performance of the team relative to dispositioning NCRs.
• Complete assigned responsibilities with significant impact on programs.
