Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to lead the structural engineering aspects of launch pad construction. You will serve as the on-site technical authority, working with construction teams, contractors, and cross-functional groups to ensure safety, quality, and performance of launch infrastructure.

The role requires 8–10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 5+ years in heavy industrial or critical infrastructure construction, with strong knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8–10+ years of structural engineering experience, 5+ years in field heavy industrial or critical infrastructure construction.

Responsibilities

• Launch Site Engineering Support: act as on-site structural technical authority for launch pad facilities.
• Means & Methods Review: assess contractor temporary works and critical lift plans.
• Extreme Load Verification: field observations for blast, acoustics, thermal shock, vibration.
• Real‑Time Field Resolution: resolve design/construct issues in the field to meet launch timelines.
• Large Steel & Concrete Systems: oversee installation of heavy structural steel and concrete foundations.
• Contractor & Subcontractor Management: coordinate across disciplines with field superintendents and contractors.
