Job summary

Kiewit is seeking Sr. Structural Engineers to lead analysis, design, and detailing for large EPC projects. You will apply advanced modeling, seismic and wind evaluations, and constructability-focused engineering, serving as a technical authority to ensure safety and cost-efficient designs.

The position supports multiple offices including Lone Tree, CO, Kansas City, MO, Minneapolis, MN, and Houston, TX, offering competitive compensation ranging from $130k to $175k plus strong benefits and 401k.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited degree in structural/civil/architectural engineering; masters coursework preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
12+ years in structural engineering and design for concrete and steel; EPC/design-build experience preferred.
Modular structural design experience highly desired.
3+ years leading/mentoring a team and managing large projects.
Proficient with CSI SAP2000 and SAFE; RISA Suite.
Experience with BIM: Revit preferred, AutoCAD, Navisworks; 3D modeling required.
Strong communication with owners, contractors, vendors.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design efforts for large industrial projects; serve as Lead on projects.
Develop calculations, drawings, and specifications ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Mentor engineers and designers; provide technical direction and feedback.
Utilize BIM to develop plans and detailed structural documentation.
Coordinate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and align goals.
Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting with structural input.
