Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Lexington, KY is seeking a Structural Engineer with 4+ years of experience to contribute to projects from concept through construction. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, BIM professionals, and clients, with mentorship from KPFF’s engineering team.

Bachelor’s in Civil/Architectural Engineering, PE license, and proficiency in ETABS, RAM, RISA-3D, and Revit are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Master's preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum 4 years of structural engineering design experience (project management experience is a plus).
Proficiency with ETABS, RAM Structural System, RISA-3D, or similar.
Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC codes.
Experience with BIM software such as Revit.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of structural engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials.
Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and maintain clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in feasibility studies, site investigations, and structural assessments, as needed.
Prepare, review, and coordinate engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports per building codes.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Promote safety and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
