Job summary

StaffRight Associates in the Atlanta area seeks a Lead Structural Engineer for a dedicated Food and Beverage division in Gainesville, GA. You will drive structural initiatives from concept through construction and operation, collaborating with operations, preconstruction, architectural, and engineering teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, oversee design-build projects, and ensure cost-effective, schedule-aligned designs for high-performance industrial environments, with relocation assistance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5 to 15 years of progressive structural engineering design experience in industrial, manufacturing, or food & beverage environments.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license in Georgia, with eligibility for multi-state reciprocity
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM Collaborate Pro, BIM360, Navisworks, RamSteel; CSI Specifications and SpecLink mastery
• Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect comprehensive structural engineering strategies for food, beverage, and industrial facilities, serving as Engineer of Record for in-house deliverables.
• Direct full-lifecycle project phases, overseeing structural design production, coordination, and remediation for site conditions.
• Synthesize multidisciplinary insights by partnering with architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and process engineering teams.
• Engage in design-build pursuits by shaping project scopes, developing proposals, and presenting to clients.
• Maximize preconstruction collaboration through model-based estimating, budget alignment, and evaluating alternative design methods.
• Oversee construction administration by reviewing submittals, RFIs, and conducting site visits.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers to foster technical excellence and continuous improvement.
