Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Denver, CO to lead aviation and building projects from concept through construction. You will manage design teams, perform advanced structural analyses, and ensure quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architects and multi-discipline teams, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering constructible, code-compliant solutions for terminals, hangars, and service facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
5–7 years of post-education engineering experience with structural/civil design.
Professional engineer license preferred.
Proficient with structural design principles, codes and practices.
Experience with steel, concrete, composite structures.
Strong CAD/3D software skills (ETABS/SAP2000/RAM/RISA/SAFE).
AutoCAD and/or Revit for structural documentation.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead project execution from concept through construction, including CD and CA phases.
Oversee production of structural calculations, drawings, specs, and narratives.
Apply advanced analysis methods and modeling to solve complex design challenges.
Serve as Lead Structural Engineer or Project Manager on mid-sized to large projects.
Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multi-discipline teams.
Develop constructible gravity and lateral systems considering site and wind/seismic demands.
Perform site visits, field investigations, and respond to RFIs and field observations.
Prepare technical reports and presentations explaining concepts and recommendations.
Support proposals and client interviews for aviation/building pursuits.
