Job summary

WSP is seeking a Mid-Level Structural (Buildings) Engineer to work from Denver, CO or other US locations. You will join the Federal Programs AEC Team and contribute to design through construction-phase support on federal, defense, and public-sector projects.

The role offers opportunities to lead portions of structural design, mentor junior staff, and deepen expertise in structural systems, seismic design, and coordination with multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years post‑education experience in the analysis and design of building structures.
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • Proficient knowledge of building codes, design standards, and structural engineering principles.
  • Experience with structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Concept, and Revit.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform structural analysis and design of new and existing buildings.
  • Develop structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and design documentation.
  • Deliver design projects in design‑bid‑build, Design‑Build, or other delivery frameworks.
  • Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.
  • Lead or support site visits, review submittals, and ensure safety compliance.
