Job summary

ORION is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead project estimates for structural and light commercial concrete work. You will perform takeoffs, develop bid documentation, and collaborate with the Business Development VP and Project Management Team to shape bid strategy.

The role requires strong leadership, data accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in construction management or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years field/estimating experience in concrete construction.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities in a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Leads preparation of complete project estimates, takeoffs, and bid documentation.
• Collaborates with VP of BD and PM team to support bid strategy.
• Serves as backup to Estimating Manager and maintains pricing databases.
• Conducts site investigations and coordinates with sponsors and managers.
• Oversees junior estimators and provides mentorship and coaching.
