Job summary

ORION is seeking an estimator for civil construction with strong takeoff skills and the ability to prepare accurate bid proposals. The role involves analyzing plans, soils reports, and estimating costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of field or estimating experience, a related BS degree, and proficiency with takeoff software such as Agtek. Office-based with some field site visits and potential overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years field and/or estimating experience in civil construction.
• BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Business, Soil Science, Construction Management or related discipline preferred.
• Proficiency with Agtek or comparable takeoff software; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs using Agtek and Geotech reports.
• Prepare and review bid proposals for concrete construction projects.
• Develop weekly bid calendars and ensure timely estimates completion.
• Create cost analyses including materials, labor, equipment and overhead costs.
