Job summary

LJB Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer - Project Manager to lead complex bridge projects within our Transportation Practice.

You will manage scope, schedule, fees, and client communications, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and sub-consultants. This senior role requires a PE license, a civil engineering degree, and 10+ years in consulting or design, with DOT project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• P.E. license.
• At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.
• Experience working with DOTs.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, fees, and profitability.
• Point person and firm's contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
• Assist in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.
• Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of transportation disciplines related to bridge design projects.
• Assist in maintaining PM best practices.
• On larger projects, may not be involved directly in the design.
• Provide staffing updates to Operations Management.
• Mentor developing team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
