Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 6+ years of related work experience in structural analysis.
• Proficiency with analysis tools and methodologies.
• Ability to lead reviews and coordinate teams.
• Understanding of materials and material properties.
• Experience resolving hardware nonconformance.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced strength, fatigue and fracture analysis of structural components.
• Lead and plan team scope, prioritization and execution; communicate status to leaders.
• Create advanced analysis models and hand calculations; provide design recommendations.
• Review 3‑D layouts, models and drawings for propulsion and mechanical systems.
• Document results in strength reports and support design decisions.
• Drive internal peer reviews, tabletop reviews and formal design reviews as needed.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop team processes; create analysis automation tools.
