Job summary

The Foth Companies seeks an experienced Lead Stormwater & Water Resources Engineer to provide technical leadership across stormwater, drainage, flood mitigation, and water resources projects nationwide. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges and mentoring others.

The ideal candidate will lead modeling efforts using HEC-RAS/HMS and related tools, coordinate reports and agency submittals, and help develop standards and training resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure in applicable jurisdictions.
• Experience in stormwater, drainage, and water resources engineering.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and reviews.
• Hands-on experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.
• Experience preparing technical reports and construction documents.
• Strong communication with clients, teams, and agencies.
• Willingness to travel 10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical leader for stormwater and water resources projects.
• Provide oversight for reports, modeling, design drawings, and specs.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and training.
• Develop discipline standards, QA/QC workflows, and training resources.
• Lead design and delivery of drainage systems and flood studies.
• Coordinate with agencies on permits and project approvals.
• Support project execution across multiple markets nationwide.
