Job summary

Foth is seeking an experienced Lead Stormwater & Water Resources Engineer to provide technical leadership across projects nationwide, focusing on stormwater, drainage, flood mitigation, and water resources.

The ideal candidate is a senior engineer located near a Foth office, with strong mentoring skills and experience with HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, ArcGIS Pro, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Remote options may be considered based on project needs and background.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
PE license or ability to obtain licensure in applicable jurisdictions.
Experience in stormwater, drainage, and water resources engineering.
Experience providing technical leadership and quality reviews.
Proficient in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.
Strong ability to communicate with teams, clients, and agencies.
Ability to travel 10–20% as needed.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical leader for stormwater, drainage, flood risk, and water resources projects.
Provide oversight for reports, modeling, design drawings, specs, and construction documents.
Mentor engineers through coaching, reviews, and training.
Develop discipline standards, QA/QC workflows, and modeling resources.
Lead design and delivery of stormwater systems and flood mitigation projects.
Coordinate with agencies for permitting and regulatory work.
