Job summary

The Foth Companies is seeking a Lead Waterfront/Marine Structural Engineer to serve as the technical lead on waterfront and coastal projects. You will perform coastal condition calculations, structural analyses, and develop construction documents while leading teams and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role can be located in multiple U.S. locations or remote for the right candidate, with opportunities to mentor multidisciplinary teams and contribute to business development and technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience in feasibility, design, and/or construction management.
• Experience with developing construction documents including plans and specifications.
• Professional Engineer License (or ability to obtain within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and designer on coastal, waterfront, and marine infrastructure projects.
• Perform coastal condition calculations and structural analyses for shoreline protection and marine structures.
• Lead the development of construction documents, plans and specifications, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Identify and implement innovative design technologies and improve standard practices.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge and support the firm’s technical library in coastal engineering.
• Support business development with technical proposals and client relationship management.
• Serve as primary technical contact with clients through the project lifecycle.
