Construction Resources in Charleston, SC is seeking a Lead Fireplace Installer to supervise and perform stone installation on luxury residential and commercial projects.

The role requires reading drawings, preparing surfaces, overseeing cutting and fitting, training installers, and ensuring safety and quality. Collaboration with suppliers and other trades is essential to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in stone installation or masonry work.
• Familiarity with operating cutting tools, grinders, polishers, and lifting equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of stone materials, adhesives, and sealants.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation of stone materials on construction projects.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, layout plans, and shop drawings.
• Prepare and level surfaces for stone installation; oversee cutting, shaping, and fitting of stone.
• Supervise and train installers.
• Ensure alignment, leveling, grouting, sealing, and finishing of installed stone meets aesthetic and technical standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers, designers, and other trades to ensure material availability and correct execution.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, durability, and compliance.
• Enforce site safety practices and conduct safety briefings.
• Maintain daily reports, track material usage, and assist in project documentation.
• Continue education to ensure current with latest regulations, safety initiatives, and overall awareness of products.
• Assist in warehouse related tasks when necessary.
