Job summary

RRD is seeking a bindery operator for 1st and 3rd shifts in Wisconsin. The role involves setting up and operating binding machines, inspecting equipment for safety, and directing the production crew to meet quality and productivity goals. The position offers an hourly pay range and a 3rd shift premium.

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple machine stations, ensuring product integrity, and maintaining safety standards. Overtime is available and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of setup, adjustment, procedures, capabilities and limitations of binding, folding, collating, and cutting equipment.
• Knowledge of various paper weights, sizes, colors and conditions to adjust machines accordingly.
• Ability to use hand tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Ability to read work instructions and maintain dimensional accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Operate automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) with multiple process stations.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
