Job summary

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to maintain cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in kitchen and dining operations. You will oversee dishwashing, sanitation, and equipment, leading a team in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety standards, with collaboration across Banquet, Culinary, and Outlet teams for events.

Qualifications

• Ability to delegate tasks and monitor performance.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures.
• Experience with inventory management for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Proficiency in maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen/dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the stewarding team by assigning tasks and coverage during shifts.
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and feedback to ensure service quality.
• Oversee cleaning and sanitation of dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure equipment (dishwashers, cleaners) operate efficiently and report malfunctions.
• Coordinate cleaning of kitchen areas, storage, and back-of-house spaces.
• Ensure safety and hygiene protocols to prevent accidents and contamination.
• Monitor compliance with health regulations and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Oversee safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Collaborate with banquet, culinary, and outlets teams to prep equipment for events.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of event areas and equipment after events.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Ensure coverage in absence of senior steward leadership.
