Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical Training Diploma/Degree in Surgical Technology or Sterile Processing.
• Completion of an accredited sterile processing training program or CSPD/CSPDT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates instrumentation and medical equipment using chemicals and automated systems.
• Assembles, preps, packs instrumentation and prepares trays; inspects instruments for cleanliness and function.
• Sterilizes instruments following procedures and monitors parameters to ensure proper sterilization.
• Picks and prepares case carts, maintains sterile storage, and coordinates with perioperative team to ensure smooth workflow.
