Hourly Pay Range:
$21.08 - $31.62 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:
- Coordinate daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department, including decontamination, instrument set assembly, medical device processing, patient‑care equipment processing, case cart processing, disposal of refuse, and distribution of supplies.
- Maintain daily Process, Distribution and Communication Logs and provide production statistics requested by leadership.
- Serve as the primary mentor for new technicians and provide continuous training for all technicians.
- Act as daily liaison between Sterile Processing and Surgical Services, communicating daily issues with OR staff and SPD staff.
- Participate actively in departmental quality improvement programs through consistent leadership, education, and training of all Sterile Processing Technicians.
- Manage all processes in the absence of the supervisor or manager.
- Promote effective interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships and maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Assist in running the department when the supervisor is unavailable.
- Inform management of items and supplies needed to order, and assist in locating any needed instrumentation to adjust workflow as needed to keep up with OR demand.
- Oversee the departmental needs on a daily basis.
- Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
- Execute established procedures for decontamination assembly, packaging sterilization, and surgical case cart setup to ensure quality product for patient care.
- Follow established procedures to ensure decontamination completion.
- Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution and ensure the items are accurately labeled by department.
What you will need:
- Education: High school Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Certified by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
- Experience: Two (2) years' experience in healthcare sterile processing (or surgical/procedural area).
- Preferred: Two (2) years' experience as a lead or in staff education.
- Skills: Proficiency in Outlook required.
