Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Sterile Processing Tech Lead to take reports from the supervisor and ensure patient needs are met. Responsibilities

• Manage reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation: disassembly, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, testing, assembly, packaging, labeling and sterilization.
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers and related equipment.
• Complete quality monitoring and documentation.
• Perform quality assurance activities.
• Oversee supply inventory management and instrument rounds.
• Mentor, train, coach and role-model new Sterile Processing Technicians.
• Lead the department to promote teamwork within and with other departments.

Job Description Summary

This will involve taking report from the Supervisor/Manager from 1st Shift to properly carry out the responsibilities of insuring that our patient needs are met. They will be responsible for directing effective staff flow on the evening shift.

Responsibilities

• Possessing an SPD-Relevant Certification (CRCST or CBSPD) with a minimum of 2 years of SPD experience, the Sterile Processing Technician Lead manages the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation, including disassembly, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, testing, assembly, packaging, labeling, and sterilization.
• Cares for and operates ultrasonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers, and other equipment.
• Completes quality monitoring and documentation.
• Performs quality assurance activities.
