Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Sterile Processing Lead Technician to guide daily operations, mentor staff, and coordinate training and quality assurance. You will ensure proper decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of instruments and trays in a hospital setting.

The role requires CRCST certification and at least two years of sterile processing experience, with strong knowledge of sterilization principles and infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified in sterile processing (CRCST – HSPA or CBSPD) and maintain certification.
• Minimum 2 years sterile processing experience in hospital or surgical setting.
• Knowledge of sterilization principles, microbiology and infection prevention.
• Knowledge of instrument names, functions and specialty sets.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of sterile processing operations.
• Coordinate training, quality assurance, and workflow within the department.
• Mentor and support team members and serve as a resource.
• Ensure instruments, trays, and equipment are properly decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and distributed per standards.
• Maintain documentation and recordkeeping related to processing activities.
