Job summary

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Park Service, is hiring State Park Ranger Lead to serve as the lead for an operational area of a State Park. The role includes day-to-day duties in the park and facilities, interpreting rules, educating visitors, and coordinating forest and park programs.

You will direct full-time staff, hire and schedule seasonal workers and volunteers, and may lead temporary staff.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in forest/park management or related field.
• Experience in developing interpretive programs and managing park resources.

Responsibilities

• Direct full-time staff and coordinate seasonal employees.
• Provide information and education to visitors on resource management and park rules.
• Lead day-use areas and facilities operations; weekend and holiday work required.
