Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior State Estimation Engineer within the SEAM Embodied AI organization to lead advanced sensor calibration and real-time state estimation for autonomous driving.

You will architect solutions, mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence roadmaps while delivering robust localization and perception capabilities across vehicle platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years or relevant industry experience.
• Experience developing and deploying state estimation and sensor calibration in real-time onboard applications.
• Strong software engineering in C++ and Python; hands-on with development, integration, and testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, development, and deployment of state estimation, localization, and sensor calibration solutions.
• Lead and architect complex projects from conception through validation to onboard implementation.
• Champion multi-sensor self-calibration in unstructured environments and fault-tolerance for real-time deployment.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership across teams to elevate engineering practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary groups to integrate localization and sensor alignment into autonomous systems.
• Influence roadmaps and priorities aligned with company objectives and milestones.
