Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Lead Start-Up Engineer for North America, based in Green Bay or nearby, with strong startup and project leadership skills. You will plan, verify, and start-up project portions per drawings and specifications and serve as the client representative on site.

Travel may exceed 50%. The role requires an engineering degree and prior startup/project management experience. Competitive compensation and benefits are included, with relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree in Mechanical, Technical, Pulp and Paper or a closely related field.
• Preferred 2-year minimum experience with project start up engineering or leading projects.
• Industry-related Project Management experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan the check-out of own part of the project and establish ECOs.
• Coordinate check-out in the assembly hall and share progress with Site managers.
• Support project managers during delivery in technical matters.
• Act as Valmet Start-Up Coordinator when needed and report deviations.
