Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Development Test Technician (Starship Structural Test) for the 1st shift to lead a small team in supporting testing operations. You will enforce safety and workmanship standards, coordinate work assignments, and resolve blockers with management.

You will work with GSE equipment, read schematics, and mentor technicians while collaborating with engineers to document testing activities and ensure regulatory compliance across procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of industrial experience with piping, stainless tubing, or high‑pressure systems.
• 2+ years assembling large mechanical structures and test stands with forklifts/cranes/rigging.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team in testing operations, assign work based on priorities, ensure safety and workmanship.
• Act as liaison between employees and management for issue resolution.
• Coach, mentor and train team members in procedures.
• Provide information on materials and components for tooling work orders.
• Support GSE testing, including building, installing and troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
