Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Development Test Technician (Starship Structural Test) on 1st shift to lead a small team, assign priorities, ensure safety standards, and resolve issues with management. The role includes GSE support, reading complex schematics, and collaborating with design engineers to document testing activities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial settings, experience with large mechanical structures, and a strong background in high-pressure systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial experience working with pipes, high-pressure systems or related hardware.
• Experience assembling and configuring large mechanical structures and test stands.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team, assign work, and enforce safety standards.
• Act as liaison between employees and management to resolve issues.
• Assist supervisor with coaching and training of team members.
• Read planning documents, schematics, and blueprints to support testing activities.
• Provide GSE support, build and repair testing hardware and equipment.
• Collaborate with design engineers to document testing activities.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation.
