Job summary

Nextiya LLC is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to provide onshore technical leadership, coordinate offshore engineering teams, and ensure reliable delivery of SRE services. The role emphasizes client engagement, stakeholder management, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has extensive SRE experience, strong knowledge of Linux and cloud infrastructure, and a proven track record in leading cross-border teams and driving service reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in SRE, infrastructure engineering, or production operations.
• Experience leading offshore technical teams and managing client relationships.
• Strong understanding of Linux, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of incident, problem, change management, and SRE best practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Own onshore SRE leadership, ensure offshore execution, maintain strong client relationships, and drive measurable improvements in service reliability and engineering delivery

Responsibilities

• Onshore Leadership: Act as the primary onshore SRE lead, providing technical guidance and overseeing day-to-day engineering activities.
• Offshore Coordination: Manage offshore team priorities, deliverables, escalations, and effective onshore–offshore collaboration.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary technical point of contact, lead stakeholder meetings, manage expectations, and communicate progress and risks.
• Service Reliability: Drive improvements in application and infrastructure availability, performance, and stability.
• Incident & Problem Management: Lead critical incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Engineering Delivery: Track commitments, manage priorities, resolve blockers, and ensure timely delivery of SRE initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive monitoring enhancements, operational automation, standardization, and process improvements.
