Job summary

AmerisourceBergen is seeking a Senior Manager, Specialty Pharmacy Business and Operations to lead operations, governance, and strategic planning for specialty pharmacy services. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across pharmacy operations, technology, and support teams to ensure compliant, high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities include driving workforce planning, throughput improvements, and leadership development to scale capabilities while maintaining patient safety

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, pharmacy support, or healthcare supply chain/medication distribution
• 5+ years of experience in a management capacity
• Certification in customer experience, customer success, project management, service management, or process improvement preferred

Responsibilities

• Directs strategic direction of the specialty pharmacy business and drives governance to ensure service consistency.
• Leads cross-functional coordination across operations, fulfillment, inventory, and tech teams to enable seamless execution.
• Establishes governance routines and escalation pathways to strengthen compliance and audit readiness.
• Transforms workflows and onboarding practices to improve throughput and reduce rework.
• Optimizes staffing and service capacity to balance performance, cost, and risk
