Job summary

NeighborHealth in Boston is seeking a Manager, Medication Access & Specialty Pharmacy Operations to lead daily medication access workflows, oversee prior authorizations, benefit investigations, and financial assistance while ensuring compliance and patient-centered care.

You will supervise a team of medication access staff, collaborate with providers, payers, and operations to remove barriers to therapy and improve access to medications across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
  • Massachusetts pharmacist licensure or eligibility required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in specialty pharmacy, medication access services, ambulatory care, managed care, or health-system pharmacy.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership, supervisory, project leadership, or operational management experience.
  • Experience with ACHC and/or URAC accreditation standards or accreditation readiness preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily medication access operations and specialty pharmacy services.
  • Oversee prior authorizations, benefit investigations, financial assistance enrollment, and related workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and develop medication access staff and establish performance expectations.
  • Partner with providers, payers, and operations to remove barriers to care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous process improvements.
