Job summary

KIPP Massachusetts seeks a Lead Teacher for the Sub-Separate Special Education program at KIPP Academy Lynn Elementary in Lynn, MA. You will guide a small cohort, implement IEP goals, and collaborate with specialists to support social-emotional and academic growth.

Key responsibilities include developing daily lesson plans, managing accommodations, and partnering with families to ensure students’ success. This role requires 2+ years of full-time teaching in special ed and MTEL/SEI endorsements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience (Special Education preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Prior experience with Special Education laws and paperwork preferred.
• Computer literacy and baseline familiarity with Google Suite.
• Pass Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1–4 content areas with IEP goals for a small group of students.
• Create and implement daily aligned lesson plans, unit plans, rubrics and assessments.
• Modify standards across 1–4 content areas to meet the needs of students in the program.
• Lead collaboration with counselors and related service providers to support student success.
• Participate in school-wide and individual professional development.
