Job summary

The Baby Fold in Normal, IL is hiring a Special Education Teacher to lead classroom instruction for students with behavioral and developmental needs. The role requires coordinating and implementing individualized education plans, with closing of IEP goals and progress reporting.

Position is full-time with school hours, working 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, following the school calendar and summer obligations. Competitive salary with a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Plans, coordinates, evaluates, and implements a comprehensive curriculum aligned to each child’s IEP.
• Collects and presents behavioral and academic data for student progress.
• Develops and implements lesson plans reflecting best practices in specialized instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, evaluates, and implements a comprehensive curriculum which meets the individualized behavioral, academic and social needs of each student enrolled in the classroom and which is directly related to each child’s IEP.
• Collects, prepares and presents behavioral and academic data on each child in the classroom.
• Develops and implements lesson plans that reflect best practice in specialized educational instruction.
