Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for its Space Manufacturing team. You will own manufacturing strategy for complex spacecraft hardware, leading DFx, tooling, supplier management, and quality systems across PCBAs, box-level assemblies, and electro-optical instruments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, space systems, aviation, defense, or other high-reliability industries.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline required; Master's preferred.
• Deep knowledge of space/high-reliability electronics standards (IPC-610/620 Class 3, NASA-STD-8739).
• Expert-level understanding of PCBA manufacturing (SMT, through-hole, conformal coating) and box-level assembly.
• Experience with MES, ERP/MRP systems, digital work instructions, and process controls (SPC, Lean, Six Sigma).
• Root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) and CAPA implementation.
• Ability to influence design for manufacturability and collaborate across teams.
• Hands-on manufacturing floor experience and willingness to work directly with technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of PCBAs, box-level assemblies, and integrated spacecraft systems.
• Drive DFM/DFA from concept to production with design partners.
• Own QA for manufacturing processes; lead RCA and corrective actions.
• Specify and deploy tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions.
• Implement MES/ERP workflows and digital manufacturing tools for traceability.
• Manage supplier relationships and perform/drive qualification activities.
• Lead or participate in design reviews and manufacturing readiness reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and program management.
• Analyze production data and scale from LRIP to high-rate production; drive Lean/Six Sigma.
• Define manufacturing strategy and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
