Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA to lead the full life cycle of spacecraft systems, from design to operations. You will maintain and manage requirements, risks, budgets, and trade studies, interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders.

You will act as an individual contributor and team lead, mentoring staff while helping develop system and mission designs and concepts for rapid, mission-critical space capabilities.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in an engineering or technical field relevant to spacecraft.
• Proven track record leading systems engineering on space programs.
• Experience creating and reviewing design artifacts (CoDR/SDR/PDR/CDR, etc).
• Strong communication skills and customer-facing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own full life cycle design, development, integration & test for spacecraft systems.
• Mentor and grow the Space Special Programs team.
• Maintain and manage requirements, risks, budgets, and trade studies.
• Interface with customers and internal stakeholders on progress.
• Lead internal guidelines for space flight hardware design, test, manufacture, and operations.
• Prepare and present system design documentation and reviews.
