Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect in the HADES program at Kirtland AFB, NM, to drive end-to-end architectural solutions for satellite ground systems and mission operations. You will translate mission needs into scalable, secure architectures and collaborate across government stakeholders, program leadership, and engineering teams.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, advanced DoD domain knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or 10 years with a Master’s, or 7 years with a PhD; four years with no degree.
• Experience delivering technical solutions for enterprise, cloud, or hybrid environments.
• Experience with systems integration across software, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity domains.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of satellite ground systems, command and control, or mission-critical ops.
• Relevant architecture or cloud certification (e.g., AWS, Azure, INCOSE CSEP/CSE, CISSP).

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end technical solutions for satellite ground systems and mission operations.
• Translate requirements into scalable system architectures and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders, program leadership, and engineering teams.
• Evaluate architectures and propose modernization for cloud, hybrid, and distributed compute.
• Define integration approaches across mission systems, software, and external interfaces.
• Support architecture reviews, technical interchange meetings, and design reviews.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigations; ensure cybersecurity alignment.
• Produce architecture products, CONOPS, and engineering artifacts.
• Provide guidance to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
