Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to drive end-to-end technical solutions for satellite ground systems and mission operations in a high-tempo DoD environment. You will translate operational needs into scalable architectures, collaborating with government stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure security, reliability, and modernization.

Qualifications

• Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years experience, or 10 years with a Masters, or 7 years with a PhD.
• Experience developing enterprise, cloud, or hybrid solutions.
• Experience with systems integration across software, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, lifecycle processes, and architecture development.
• Experience with government customers to define technical solutions.
• Understanding of satellite ground systems or command and control environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interact with government stakeholders.
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition, contracting, finance, budgeting, and technical reviews.
• Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills; able to operate in secure, high-tempo environments.
• Must hold a relevant architecture or cloud certification (AWS, Azure, INCOSE, CISSP, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end technical solutions for satellite ground systems and mission operations.
• Translate requirements into scalable architectures and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, software, and infrastructure teams.
• Evaluate architectures and propose modernization for cloud/hybrid environments.
• Define integration approaches for new capabilities across systems and interfaces.
• Support architecture reviews, design reviews, and engineering meetings.
• Identify risks and dependencies and propose mitigations.
• Incorporate cybersecurity and Zero Trust best practices.
• Create architecture products, CONOPS, and engineering artifacts.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure alignment with objectives and customer needs.
