Job summary

Vast is seeking a Technical Project Manager, Software in Long Beach, CA to lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and mission operations for Haven-1 and future Haven modules.

The full-time exempt role requires strong technical leadership, end-to-end product lifecycle experience, and the ability to travel up to 15% to support critical milestones. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering fields
• Preferred: Master's Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering fields
• 3+ years of demonstrated successful contributions in an engineering discipline and capacity, demonstrating expertise and contributions to the software/hardware interface (i.e. computer programming, design, analysis, manufacturing, or UI/UX) of products
• 1+ years of cross functional technical leadership (i.e. project engineering, product management, systems engineering, or engineering management)
• Demonstrated successful contributions to end-to-end product lifecycle management
• Experience with project management and reporting tools (i.e., MS Project, SmartSheet, JIRA, Confluence)

Responsibilities

• Lead complex multi-disciplinary projects across hardware, software, and artifacts with extreme ownership
• Prioritize safety and quality while maintaining timelines and partnering with stakeholders
• Act as single point of contact for progress, scope, schedule, cost, and priorities; report status and risk
• Ensure schedules and program documents are current and accessible for staff and leadership
• Apply first principles to problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making
• Demonstrate urgency across all initiatives
