Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Security Architect to design, build, and enforce cybersecurity defenses across the TeraWave space system. You will secure onboard computers, firmware, and inter-satellite links, and establish zero-trust architectures with strict trust boundaries.

You will perform threat modeling, architecture definition, and security design reviews, while helping define staffing needs as the program grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience across multiple domains.
• Deep understanding of embedded systems security and Linux security.
• Strong ability to communicate security Architecture to leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design and enforce cybersecurity architectures across the full TeraWave system.
• Secure onboard satellite systems including firmware and inter-satellite links.
• Establish zero-trust architectures and risk-based security policies.
• Guide engineering teams on security practices and incident response.
