Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Principal Architect for Space Safety & Sustainability to own the TeraWave Space Sustainability Strategy, lead regulatory engagement, and shape the architecture for orbital debris mitigation and space traffic coordination. You will collaborate with regulatory bodies and operators to define standards and ensure compliance across the program.

The role requires deep expertise in orbital mechanics, debris analysis, and large-scale constellation operations, with a focus on safety,

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in aerospace engineering, astrodynamics, or equivalent.
• PhD preferred for advanced roles in space safety and debris management.
• Experience translating safety requirements into architectural standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the TeraWave Space Sustainability Strategy, ODAR, and ODM and ensure ongoing accuracy and regulatory alignment.
• Lead regulatory engagement with FCC and other bodies on orbital debris and space traffic coordination.
• Architect space traffic coordination strategy and systems for data acquisition, distribution, and ephemeris processing.
