Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to shape requirements, interfaces, and system architecture for the TeraWave spacecraft program. You will work with Assembly, Integration, & Test, Mission Systems, Launch Vehicle, and Operations to deliver compliant, verifiable designs.

Applicants should have space industry experience and a strong background in system-level verification, risk management, and test planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience, preferably in the space industry.
• 5+ years in spacecraft design, development, and flight testing.
• Experience defining space system requirements and concepts across missions.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with design standards, processes, and best practices.
• Develop CONOPs, requirements, and interface definitions.
• Decompose high-level requirements into system architecture and functional blocks.
• Coordinate with subsystems and verification/validation plans.
• Oversee test plans and results reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver holistic solutions.
• Identify and manage technical risks; drive action closure.
• Support assembly, integration, and test activities on the floor.
