Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is hiring a Lead Space Systems Engineer in Wilmington, MA. The role focuses on applying MBSE throughout the system lifecycle for space-based remote sensing projects.

You will lead engineering teams, model complex systems, and drive integration across disciplines. The ideal candidate has strong MBSE experience in aerospace, with the ability to coordinate multiple technical teams, develop verification plans, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or related field with 9+ years of experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years in lieu of a degree.
• MBSE experience with space/aerospace programs is highly desired.
• Experience using MBSE tools (MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect) in complex systems projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MBSE frameworks to support space systems projects.
• Conduct systems modeling and simulation to validate requirements and performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure MBSE practices are applied consistently.
• Provide leadership and mentorship in MBSE tools and approaches across the program.
• Create training materials and guide staff on MBSE best practices; potential to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
